Talent Acquisition Manager


As a Talent Acquisition Manager your main focus is to attract and hire employees, typically for strategically important or hard-to-fill positions.


You will support the company throughout the entire recruitment process. You will also work on positioning your company as an attractive place to work through employer branding activities.


What does a Talent Acquisition Manager do?


  • Advice and assist the hiring manager

  • Administer and execute employer branding initiatives

  • Participate in job interviews and candidate assessments tests

  • Have contact with job candidates and ensure a good candidate experience

  • Write job ads and employer branding posts on social media
    Identify talents on the market for open positions e.g. using LinkedIn

 


Example of work as a Talent Acquisition Manager


The head of data intelligence is looking for a new data scientist to join their team.


The Talent acquisition manager specifies the position requirements in cooperation with the head of data intelligence.


Then the talent manager writes a job ad, and looks for passive candidates on LinkedIn.


When relevant candidates are selected the talent manager contacts them.


At the candidates’ second job interview the talent manager administers a personality and intelligence test.


When the position is filled the talent manager informs all applicants.


Because the position was hard to fill the talent manager starts a series of employee branding activities to run going forward: Going to career fairs and advertisement on social media.
