Logistics coordinator

Existing customers are more likely to buy from a company again than a potential new customer.

This is the reason why account managers have an essential role.

In this role you will become the link between existing customers and the company – ensuring the customer is satisfied with the product and will continue to buy (even more) in the future.

What does a Logistics coordinator do?

  • Prioritize and resolve logistics issues

  • Coordinate transportation

  • Coordinate recalls/returns/other issues

  • Handle formalities e.g., documentation and ensuring adherence to regulation

  • Customer contact e.g., concerning issues.

Example of work as a Logistics coordinator

An online car shop needs to deliver the cars to their customers as efficiently as possible while providing a great after-sales experience.

They have implemented a new system where the customer can book the time of delivery for the car. However, there continues to be issues.

On a daily basis the Logistics coordinator:

1) Checks in with customer support to learn if there are any problems.

2) Has contact with the car producers to verify everything is on track.

3) Checks the drivers’ calendars to ensure they are updated.

Based on this she is quickly able to address any problems and figure out a solution.
