This is done to ensure effectiveness and ensure product availability. In the job you will also need to coordinate supply chain challenges and coordinate with stakeholders.

This is the time of year when they sell most of their goods.


The supply chain planner makes a forecast of how much stock they need. The forecast is based on Christmas sales the past two years, current macro-economic conditions and a trend analysis of which toys currently are selling best.


He starts a dialogue with marketing to know which toys will get the most advertising.


Based on the forecast he contacts their third-party logistics provider to ensure appropriate storage and timely distribution.


He also coordinates with production and suppliers to ensure product availability.
