As an E-commerce manager you are responsible for growing the online sale. This is done in many different ways: Updating website content, launching online campaigns, sending newsletters and search engine optimization (SEO).


In a small company you might be responsible for doing everything related to e-commerce and in a large company you will likely specialize in an area.


What does a E-commerce manager do?

A small business has just decided to launch a web shop. They hire an e-commerce manager to spearhead this work.


He immediately finds an agency that can build the web shop.


The e-commerce manager delivers a brief of how the web shop should look and gives feedback on their iterations. He also organizes product photos and descriptions to the web shop.


Once the web shop is online, he sets up a newsletter that all customers have the option to subscribe to.


In collaboration with the sales department, he organizes sales campaigns on both social media and through the newsletter.


He evaluates all campaigns and optimizes the message and offer.
