In this role you will assist the purchasing processes; advising on laws and internal policies, negotiate prices and terms as well as facilitate the procurement process. Ensuring the best price and contract terms.

 

What does a Strategic buyer do?

Example of a work as a Strategic buyer


A marketing department have worked with the same creative agency for their ads for many years.


However, recently they have noticed a drop in the quality of work and flexibility they receive. For this reason, they reach out to the purchasing department with the intend of getting a new creative agency.


Their usual strategic buyer puts the project in tender: She contacts several creative agencies and gets price proposals.


Together with the marketing department she chooses the agency they believe will deliver the best quality to the best price.


She then negotiates a framework agreement with them, securing that the collaboration can run smoothly.
