A management consultant helps analyzing a specific problem or opportunity in an organization. Following that they design and implement a recommendation or solution.

The work is typically very project based – the management consultant will come into an organization/department, work there until the project is done, and then move on to the next.

Next, the collected information is analyzed.

During the analysis the team frequently checks in with management to ensure they are headed in the right direction.

Finally, a recommendation is presented to management.
